Why is EC not showing for my survey number in Maharashtra?
EC usually does not show because one of the search identifiers is wrong or the record is not available under that search method. The most common issues are wrong SRO, wrong revenue village, incomplete survey subdivision, wrong document year, spelling mismatch, or older records not digitized.

EC usually does not show because one of the search identifiers is wrong or the record is not available under that search method. The most common issues are wrong SRO, wrong revenue village, incomplete survey subdivision, wrong document year, spelling mismatch, or older records not digitized.
What to check first
- Confirm the correct state, district, taluk/tehsil and revenue village, not only the popular locality name.
- Check whether the property belongs to the selected SRO. A wrong SRO is one of the biggest reasons for no result.
- Enter the full survey number and subdivision number exactly as shown in old deed, patta, khata or land record.
- Try document-number search if survey-number search fails, especially for registered sale/gift/settlement deeds.
- Check the date range. EC search may require selecting the correct from-date and to-date.
- Visit or contact the SRO if the record is old, not digitized, or required for legal/bank work.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assume the property has no encumbrance only because online search shows no result.
- Do not select a nearby SRO without verifying jurisdiction.
- Do not ignore old document numbers and year.
